Trips: ISCHIA selected among the pearls to visit from TRAVEL + LEISURE
Ischia, the largest of the three islands of the Gulf of Naples, has also recently made sets for some scenes from the TV series “The brilliant friend”, taken from the best-seller by Elena Ferrante. The green island, therefore, is the only Italian destination in the prestigious list of the specialized magazine together with Matera, which in 2019 will be the European Capital of Culture.
Ischia according to journalist Maggie Shipstead, who recommends it, is “among the favorite destinations for Europeans who are looking for spas and beaches, a refuge that smacks of ancient charm”. The journalist recommends a visit to the Maronti beach, where you can relax in the sun, but also a visit to the beautiful Aragonese Castle or the charming village of Sant’Angelo.
